Jerri,
Ask Bud to play the Shambling Mound and see if it kills you.
Plus, you killed it at half hit points on the second round.
So, if Bud doesn't hit you twice in the same round, it MIGHT
scratch you a little bit.
But, otherwise it can not do enough damge in 2 rounds
to seriously hurt you.
If it does hit you twice in the same round, before you kill it
then it has entangled you and your next hits don't count
until you free yourself if you can, because no one else
has killed one of these in 2 rounds.
And, then of course there are 3 or 4 extra's to deal with
even if you finish off the ones you are each paired with.

Bob, can help also if you like.
Curt could to.
Bill's a little busy.

OK, I'm not going to post all the rolls (because I didn't write them down), but I hit her for 7 points of damage in the first round and died on the third without any other hits (this from a natural 20 and beating her on initiative a couple of times).

Curt,
I was joking about the flattening having any effect on your damage.
You still beat it easily, albeit long time, with out it being able to
hit you.

Bud, You died?
I don't understand your post.
Which of your characters was fighting
and when did the death occur?

Plus, huh?

He was the shambling mound when he died. He has a split personality.

Jeff,

Excellent session, good job! (Dragons are scary.)

BTW: We were breaking up quickly, so we didn't play it. However, after a bit of a rest, we'll do another deep-Ether jump back to Waterdeep (an area with which Pascal is very familiar in the Ether) and deliver Blackstaff's precious armor and relate to him the story of what happened. We'll tell him that there's a pissed-off dracolitch, that killed the great silver and that we had to kill a young red to retrieve a sliver egg and his armor. We'll also tell him about the recall rings and where they go (which we still have, BTW).

(Note to DM: There should be no way that the dracolitch should know we have them or how we invaded his lair. We left no witnesses.) ;)

Let us know if he takes pity on us and makes this whole thing worth our while. ;) Otherwise, we went through a lot of risk and trouble for absolutely zero gain (except XP).

OH, we'll also tell him and Sunflower about the deal with the slivers.

Thank you.
I'll tell you about the DM screw ups
I did last night later, but they washed
out in the end.

BTW, I do have treasure lists to finish
and you can tell Jerri that Fuck will get
the Armour.

But, now the real scary part begins for
you have a dracolich after you!

Thanks Bud. I was going to post something like that, but this
is the first chance I had at the computer

BTW tell Jeri I do have that +1 female plate as being sold. Kitten
purchased it for one of her guild members. The gold was placed
in the party fund. Party gets the same amount and she gets the
armor for far cheaper than buying it on the open market. The
merchants have a 200% or more mark up.

I do remember passing that info along at one point. I have Sir
Ben Over and Lady Left Over. Fighter/Rogue 4/4 in full plate
as part time guards and smiths.

Basically, Kitten can get far more for gems and art than the other
party members . She splits the difference and keeps her cut of
the transaction. Normally, the party would only get 50% of the full
value with Kitten selling things they get 60%. This is based on her
specific Non Weapons Profs and background.

She can also sell stuff the party could not openly sell and even
has non local and off-plane outlets available to her. Of course,
we do very little of that, since we are so nice.

She then uses her cut to buy weapons and armor sold by the party.
She pays the same as if the items we sold to someone else, but
this is something like a third of what she would need to pay for the
same item on the open market.

Other stuff like normal barding, she just ends up buying.

Fun fun fun

Wow,

I looked up Dracolich and Red Dragons and they really suck.
Basically, Adult + Reds are 12K to 22K XP depending on age.
Dracolich gets all those extra abilities and ups it only 1000 XP.
At least we are all above 6 levels/Hit dice, so we can do some
damage.

Its also a little odd, since it say they are immune to .... and later
indicate they can be killed outright by power word, kill or similar
spell. However, there is a high level wiz spell that can negate the
Dragon's magic resistance, but only for the next offensive spell
cast by the wizard against the Dragon in the next round. Hee hee,
like we will find a few scolls of that one

Anyway, we do know its common name and dragon name, but
do we know it's true name ? Could the DM please offer up the
correct spelling and indicate which is which. Thanx!

Also, I assume that big guys hoard is the treasure for 1 adult+
Red, 1 high end Silver and a Dracolich. By the book, this totals
0.4225 tons to 3.4 tons of coin. Total value in the 37,416 gp to
1,915,729 gp range not including magic. Average is more like
1 million gp + magic, which includes 1 ton of coins.

This sounds small given the size based on Jeff's description. Maybe
he has been buying some hoard enhancer off late nite TV :P

The hoard would include 1 weapon, 1 armor and 30 "any" magic
items. Guess that would give us 32 chances for a decent artifact.

Of course, by the book and what the DM gives us are not always
the same thing

In the end its a real big pain, lots of work, and limited return on
the effort :( Anyway, he claims to have seen us. Well, some of
us. Due to his abilities, he should have been able to hear us.
Of course, he could smell us after the fact. However, I doubt he
really has a clue who we are. I assume thats a good thing.

Keta suggest we write down what we know and want to
disclose and have the Sages do some research on
Detailed info on Red Dragons in general
Detailed info on Dracoliches in general
Details on this specific Dragon by name(s)
Detailed info on the Cult of the Dragon
    Known methods of killing Dracoliches
Known methods of killing Red Dragons
    Known tactics of Red Dragons
That should produce at least a small book. Maybe there
will be something of use.

The Silver Dragon may also be able to provide some info. Also, I
assume that he can dispel the posion as well. Of course, it may
require returning the Silver's portion of the hoard, so it would be
nice to find another way.

Mr. DM before we expend the cash, what are the cost and time
estimates on the research ? Do we have the time ?

Yes, I'm sure we are on this Dragon's list, since we
    Violated his lair
    Killed his female Red Dragon
    Stole some of his treasure
At least the Cult probably doesn't know who tossed a monkey
wrench in their plans :D Actually, that last item probably pops us
to the top.

Also, Keta's artifact circlet has an unknown power. We may want
to research in case it helps.

I have a small disadvantage over all of you....there are not that many Drow running around on the surface, and if he has a clue as to my race (which he may if he can speak with his dead bimbo), he can have his human followers look around for me.

I am going to make myself VERY scarce. The party will have a way to contact me, but I am going to use all my ranger and drow skills to drop off the face of the earth.
