I strike (or attempt to anyway) the final guy twice.

Rolled a 10 (AC1) for the first hit and 12 (AC-1) for the second.

DMG of 8 and 7 assuming 1d4.

Please tell me if that kills him or not.

If the critical is a little more than double damage, the strike would be lethal to #3.2. If not, he'll only have 1-2HP left. You tell me.

JeffHughes wrote:Did they save vs ED's spell??
I doubt it, but what did you roll?

Sorry, I assumed you were rolling for them.

#2.3 = 3 - fail
#2.10 = 4 - fail
#3.5 = 12 - fail (lvl 3 fighter needs 16+ to save vs spell, even with the +2 for being in combat)

Since their total HD = the number I rolled (how nice for Ed), they are all hypnotized.

Duration = 6 rounds (rolled 4 + 2).

Ed suggests to them that all the weapons they have are causing them intense pain, then inquire as to who sent them to play with us. And what the plan is...or rather, was.

It would kill him.

ED:
They all drop their weapons and start to message the pain
out of their hands.
They tell you: " We wuz hired to give you guys a little ruff n
tumble then bind you up fur the Holyrollers to decide which one
of you raped their bosses daughter."

Do we have a clue who they are talking about when they say holyrollers?

Ed asks. Who are the "holyrollers"? Do you know their names?

(would this still be first round?)

Unfortunately not.
I will get to this question for you, but once Bud
and Jerri get the chance to play out their first
round.

What undead? :?

First round, all we see are these thugs, right?

Unless clerics can turn thugs too.

Bud? Jerri?

Are you guys still incredibly swamped with life?

We'd love to move on to Round 2.

Yes, pretty much. I've been working 24/7 to prepare for a class I have to teach (4-times in 1 week) in mid July. I'm pretty much fucked until that's over.

However, I did describe Erg and Pascal's actions quite a while back.

Bud wrote:Well, Pascal and Erg both know the same martial art. So, anybody who gets too cose is going to get a boot upside the ear.

Pascal's first thought would be protect the nobles. His second thought would be, WTF (i.e. assess what's going on). If all is as it appears, I'm sure he has a spell that can drop a score or so of low-level fighters without killing anybody (something like, maybe 4/Rainbow Pattern).

Er, of course, will wade in and rumble. :)

Feel free to roll up the results.

Feel free to roll up the results.

Second level attackers:
THAC0: 18
AC: 7
Club: d6 damage Dagger: d6

Third Level Attackers:
THAC0: 17
AC: 6
Clubs: d6 Damage S,Swords: d6 Dagger: d6

Pascal vs
2.1 at 17hps
2.8 at 8 hps
3.8 at 29 hps

Pascal seeks to make short work of these twits, so he can protect
our hosts... He breaks the groove of 1st level spells and cast the
4th level spell Rainbow Pattern (I'll assume this is in the book of
radiance or he puchased it, since I do not have it listed).

Pascal has initiative of 3 and casting time of 4, his attackers
have initiatives of 7, 7 and 8. Pascal's spell goes off first. While
the spell could also impact adjacent attackers, Erg's attacks
start before Pascal's spell goes off.

All three attackers fail their saving throws and are drawn in by
the pattern. The will follow it for the next 3 rounds. Thats 7 levels
out of the 24 levels covered by the spell. I'll assume Pascal directs
the spell area to move to pick up Erg's attackers and draw they
away.

Pascal should be able to fly to Lord Sunflower's side by end of
round.

Erg vs
2.2 at 13 hps
2.9 at 10 hps
3.4 at 17 hps
3.10 at 21 hps

Erg is in full armor, which has been polished to the best of his
ability. This means he still has his guantlets of ogre power on.
He will box his attackers at +3 to hit (+? DEX/STR) and +6 damage.
His initiative is 6. His attackers have initiatives of 7, 7, 8 and end
of round (due to grouping: the others being in front of him).

His adjusted THAC0 is assumed to be 8. Its assumed he gets
three attacks this round.

Hits AC -10, Mr. 2.2 takes jab to the chin for 8pts (KOed)
He has 5 hp and a shatterd jaw (dead if damaged doubled)
Assuming he lives, he is KOed and can no longer fight.

Hits AC -8, Mr. 2.9 takes a hook puch to the head for 8pts.
He has 2 hp (dead if damaged doubled)
Otherwise, fails his saving throw and follows the ranbow lights.

Rolled a 20 :D
Mr. 3.4 takes a crushing punch to the head for 18pts (dead)
In his next life, vows to wear a helm.

Mr. 3.10 cannot be engaged this round.
Fails his saving throw and follows the ranbow lights.

Fuck vs
2.5 at 11 hps
2.12 at 13 hps
3.7 at 26 hps

I'll assume He is wearing the Bracers of defence (AC=2) and the
girdle of stone giant strength under some very fine duds. He will
box his attackers at +3 to hit (+? DEX/STR) and +8 damage.

His initiative is 4. His attackers have initiatives of 5, 7 and 7. His
adjusted THAC0 is assumed to be 8. Its assumed he gets three
attacks this round.

Hits AC -5, Mr. 2.5 takes it on the chin for 10pts (broken jaw)
Has only 1hp. I'll assume he dies from blood loss and shock.

Hits AC -7, Mr. 2.12 takes it in the ear for 10pts (KOed)
He has 3 pts remain and is KOed.

Hits AC -5, Mr. 3.7 takes a massive blow to the nose for 10pts.
Nose broken and bleeding, but has 16pts remaining.

However, they are not my characters, so make changes if you wish.

This should allow the DM to finish up, so we can move on to round 2.
