Thats to bad.
I had hoped that D&D online would be a fun and interesting game, but the forced grouping and limited world access is a real problem for an online game. I had my suspition about it when I read on there web site that the game was disigned around player group style of game play.

Might be fun if you had a dedicated group of players that could get online to play, but in the online game world that can be pretty hard to do.

Yep, the reason it works for CoH is because the game is simple enough that adhoc groups are fine most of the time. For D&D, you really need some strategy and I just don't have the patients or desire to mess with it every time I want to play.
