The chip can generate so many objects that even the twin graphics processors in Hegde's top-end PC have trouble tracking them at the highest image quality.

Ageia says its technology will soon be in scores of games, including A-list titles such as military tactics game "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter" by French publisher Ubisoft (UBI.PA) and an update to "City of Villains,"

It's basically a physics accelerator, just the same way a the nVidia chip is a graphics accelerator. Good idea. I predect they'll eventually integrate the two together.

Ah, yes. The Quad SLi. I am already well aware of it. Actually, news of it was trickling in as I was ordering parts for my system.

But thanks for inviting me to the dinosaur club. hehe

Does anyone have (or plan to get) an Nvidia 7900 series card? If you dig around it seems like a lot of people have trouble with these. I'm on my second replacement now and am hoping it doesn't start to flake out after a week like the previous two did.

The most common theory I've seen is that a voltage regulator for the ram is overheating and dying. Of course, the manufacturers aren't saying anything and just keep replacing the cards. I've read on a forum where someone claimed to be on his 6th card.

As far as I know the 7950 cards don't have this problem.

I wouldn't mess with the 7900-series until they work out the Quad-SLI set-up. Hell, I'm still having issues with my SLI'ed 7800's, but I think it may be heat related.

I'm not surprised to hear Nvidia's having some troubles with them, although I haven't delved into the forums.

It was too cold in TEXAS (whimps) to get it here until today
and the UPS came by while I was at work and you can't
go to the main delivery hub to pick it up.
So, tomorrow I'm leaving work early to wait for it.
