New and future Subarus

New postby Bud » Sat Jun 12, 2004 12:26 pm

Here's a car that might be in my future (or a derivative of it): http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?print_page=y§ion_id=2&article_id=1165&page_number=1&preview= (About 1/2 way down the article.)

Beautiful Cars!
But, Bud, Raw has always been you.

Luxury is what you save to ride in with Jerri.

Butt, Bud, RAW is you.

Well, of course I want 300 HP (or more) and the smaller car will (probably) be (a little) lighter... and a 6-speed close-ratio is always better then a 5 speed (unless the 5-speed is better match to the torque curve...).

But... it's kinda' ugly... in that bulldog sort of way.

It's not about the look.
It's about what you can make it do.
Beating the stuffing out of cars is what you do.
You race them until they are not good for anything else.
I expect to see your name in the papers someday with a picture of the car trashed, you perfectly fine, smiling, with the Caption: " Man over Machine!"
Being that I currently have no respect for reporters, who cares what the rest of the articule is about.
Just the picture, and the sure knowledge that the next car will last longer, go fast, and corner like it's on rails.
Looks are for those who can't make the car GO!

Vehicle's for those who have no fear of death or dismemberment.
And, can also be used to get everybody to and from work rather reliably.

As George's pictures show, Bud was the only one of successful in that category.
Can a picture tell a lie?

Toyota, Subaru to co-develop sports car
TOKYO, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp. (7203.T: Quote, Profile, Research) and Subaru-maker Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (7270.T: Quote, Profile, Research) are finalising plans to co-develop a sports car under the Toyota brand as part of their recently formed alliance, the Asahi newspaper reported on Friday.

The new car, to be priced under 2 million yen ($16,900) with an engine displacement of less than 2 litres, may use Subaru's signature symmetrical all-wheel-drive powertrain, the paper said, without citing sources.

The partners aim to sell the car in 2010, and finalise details of the joint development by autumn.

Both companies said they could not discuss future product plans.

Toyota, the world's biggest automaker, took an 8.7 percent stake in Fuji Heavy in late 2005, aiming to tap the latter's unused production capacity in the United States and find areas of joint development.

Industry watchers had been especially keen to see whether Toyota would make use of Fuji Heavy's flat-four engine, a trademark technology found only in Subaru and Porsche (PSHG_p.DE: Quote, Profile, Research) cars.

GOD DAMN SUBARU!!!
Let's f*** over the Forester
by droping the entire line
and slapping a "Forester"
label on a stripped down
Trifuqueingbeca!!!!!!

May the executives who thought
this was a good idea die
a slow, dishonorable death by
flatulating, deficating and vomiting
themselves into oblivion, so that
we can see that their minds are
the feeble f***ing representation
of the glorious insides!!!!

Scumf***ers!
