One more reason to hate NASCAR

New postby Bud » Fri Jun 23, 2006 8:40 pm

They almost killed autocross and all other motorsports not held at a closed facility in Arzona.

 What is it with this state and its idiot government?

From Evan Mecham to the alt-fuel fiasco to Symington's disgrace, now this? (not to mention ten other moronic things our government has done as long as I've lived here).

I can't believe NASCRAP tried to say the idiot was not an employee of theirs.....goes to show that they do indeed know the average intelligence of their viewers.

You do? I'm surprised. Because it takes something special from IRL and moves it to NECKCAR. She might as well go into professional wrestling. That'd impress the red necks.

IRL is several evolutions ahead of nascar.

LOL, I don't quite agree with either if these statemetns. IRL is the NASCAR of open-wheel racing. Pretty much all circle-track and mostly boring. Danica is the most exciting thing about IRL. Champ car was a little more interesting, but they're practically dead. The split between IRL and champ really hurt open wheel racing in the states.

I'd hate to have Danica move to NASCAR. It'd pretty much end my watching of IRL (except for the 1 or 2 road races the do in a year). I won't start watching NASCAR just to see Danica. However, Danica moving to NASCAR is a great move for her. She'll be a HUGE sensation in NASCAR - good career move.

Speaking open wheel stars moving to NASCAR, dig this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13781267/

Again, I think it's a good career move and really unfortunate for the series he's leaving.

NASCAR is gonna' take over the world. Order your beer-hat now.

I didn't realize IRL was the loop-around-the-oval-track racing. <yawn>

Only slightly better than watching soccer.

The car of 30 years ago!

 Dig This

NASCAR re-engineers their race cars, improving them from 1940's technology to 1970's technology.
