SPAM

New postby LyleAustin » Mon Aug 09, 2004 5:24 pm

Has something changed on the Internet in the last 48 hours?
I used to be inundated with 250+ Spam email messages a day. Yes, I'm absolutely serious. I made the mistake of clicking on the unsubscribe link of several Spam emails a couple of years ago. All that did was tell them that not only was this a valid email address but the person open, read and responded to unwanted email. If I didn't pay for a Spam filter with my ISP, my email would have been absolutely useless.

As of yesterday, my Spam has diminished to about 20 messages a day, which compared to 250, almost feels reasonable. Note, I said almost. Anyway, I thought I check to see if anybody here knew something. Bud?

Wow! Cool beans.

Unfortunately, I still get nearly 100 spam mails a day (including today). So, I don't think there's been any change on the Internet. Check your ISP. Maybe they made some sort of change.

I get little to no spam.
But, then again, I don't open anything I don't know where it came from.

Another modern american hero!
Porn.
I'm not so lucky as to get those Spam.
Or maybe, I'm better at hiding my computers identity when I visit those sites.

Mark, I swore when I was watching that on TV, that I heard you laugh & open another Beer in salute.
