My new phone

New postby Bud » Tue Nov 25, 2003 10:13 pm

I've been waiting almost a year for a version of this phone to come out.

http://www.verizonwireless.com/ics/plsql/equipment.phone_popup?p_mkt_code=Desert%20Mountain&p_name=Samsung%20SPH-i600

I really want the Palm verion, but it keeps getting delayed. (The guy who was basically my mentor at work worked on it.) However, Verizon now has the Windows CE Smartphone version and I think I'm just going to buy it if I can find the right deal.

Cool phone, yes?

More info

New postby Bud » Sun Nov 30, 2003 10:55 am

Here's more info from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devices/devicesdisplay.aspx?module=deviceDisplay;Smartphone;americas;75

The software is pretty comprehensive: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/products/smartphone/about/2002/windowspowered.mspx
Take the tour. It does nearly everything Outlook does, but is much easier to carry then a PC (even a lap top).

BTW: I ordered it Friday. There was a mixup in shipping, but I should have it Monday or Tuesday.

damn fine toy

Oh, it's much more then that. I will probably use this more for work then for play. I've been waiting for something that could synchronize with my schedule that wouldn't require me to carry two devices (phone and PDA).

So what's the number?

You left Jerri's new cell # on my voicemail. But I don't have yours. (or hers either, for that matter, since I didn't write it down)

Thanks to the new laws, mine's the same as it's always been. You have Jerri's new number on your cell because I called you from it several times Saturday.

My apologies again for missing you on Saturday. When it dawned on me that I'd left my cell in the truck, I figured it wouldn't get a signal inside the Civic Center building anyway. Did you and Jerri go?

Yeah, we went later that afternoon. There were some nice cars (the silver STi with silver wheels was pretty sharp), but nothing really floated my boat.

For those of us who were never given either, would you be so kind as to E-mail them to us?

Thank you.
E-mail ought to be your ph# plus your service name:
XXXXXXXXX@att.com

But, I could be wrong.

If it were a normal sort of phone, maybe. But this one's special.

Well, I'm kinda' PO'd at the service at the moment. I had E-mail working and now it's not... again.

Starting to think about becoming a problem customer.
